The sweet spot at the end: the vernissage of photographs from the project
On 1 July 2024, the last event of our project took place in the Boleslawiec Municipal Library – the opening of the opening of the photographs that were taken during the project.
The exhibition of photographs, which was open to the public for the whole of July, represented a cross-section of the entire project, which focused on the activation and integration of young Ukrainians in the Czech Republic and Poland. The photographs documented the course of the project from the signing of the partnership agreement, the implementation of language courses that took place in both countries, the gastronomy courses that took place at the STARÝ MLÝN Hotel in Jeseník and the Liberecký DOK café in Liberec to the final conference.
An interesting aspect of the exhibition was the fact that the authors of the photographs are not only professional photographers, but also other people who participated in the project and the courses – organizers, lecturers, teachers and, most importantly, the participants themselves. This diverse approach gives us a comprehensive view of the project’s progress and helps us to see it in retrospect from a variety of angles.
The opening was met with a positive response and created a pleasant atmosphere where visitors could immerse themselves in the stories that the photographs tell. The event also included a tour of the library, which further enhanced the experience of the evening. The last event of the project not only concludes our work together, but also reminds us of the importance of continuing similar activities that contribute to better integration of foreigners into the local community.
Thank you to everyone who contributed their photographs and to all the participants who participated in this special project.
